Project title

Doubt about vertical and horizontal My sketchbook was full of rectangular parallelepiped lines. I wanted freedom. Cant we break the common horizontal, vertical and rectangular structures of furniture? Until now, furniture were able to function in the exact horizontal and vertical shape. I also wasn't exceptional. When I found myself struggling to design a furniture inside the thoughtlessly drawn rectangular parallelepiped lines, I stopped and started considering about the way of thinking and approaches to furniture design. Later when I saw a ball put on a see-saw in the playground, I could find the way to break horizontal and vertical stereotypes and advanced my thoughts.

Philosophy of Artist

People experience and learn many things throughout life. It is natural that their thoughts settle in their own familiar ways. By looking back and giving free to the concepts that were thought to be just natural before, I could finally find interests and shining values of thinking. To break stereotypes, I started an observation about why the objects take their exact shape and how people deal with them. By doing this, I could find the made reasons of every objects and found myself throwing questions about the things that were thought to be natural. I introduce my works which are the results of giving attention to common phenomenon and giving free to the thoughts that have been restricted by stereotypes. I offer you an opportunity to rethink, and I want you to enjoy existing objects by giving free thoughts.
