The World `s Largest Product Design Contest
The primary mission of SHAPL Design Contest is to enhance its current position in the design industry while also creating opportunities for innovative designers and producing quality products that consumers want.
By uploading your product design you get a chance to discover the value of your creativity. Our grand total prize is $65,000. Gold medal Winner will receive up to $20,000. Additionally, special winners' design will be chosen to go into production and be sold around the world with SHAPL.
Contest Winner Benefits
* The winners will have commercialization eligibility. * If there is a design that we want to produce, the designer will get a ‘Special Selection Winner’ and the design will be produced by us.
Eligibility - Anyone who has their own product/industrial design can participate. - Students, freelance designers, artists, and anyone. * There is no cost to enter the Contest. * There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
Schedule - Early Submission period: June 1st - June 30th, 2018 - General Submission period: July 1st - July 15th, 2018 - Announce SHAPL shortlisted designers: July 23th - Design edit/revise by: July 23th - July 30th - Time to receive likes: August 1st - August 30th, 2018 - Winner announcements are scheduled for end of September 2018
Criteria and Measurement Requirements - Any design could fit in SHAPL BOX. (living, office, electronic, fashion, mobile, outdoor, vehicle, etc.) * Total of three sides(Length + width + height) must be less than 90 cm. The longest side is less than 60 cm.
Submission method - Fill the requirements and submit it. The requirements are the general informations, 3 product images and descriptions of your design.
Judging System - Number of likes(50%) + Jury Votes(50%) - Four recognized design experts from around the world guarantee high quality standards and thus the value of SHAPL productions. * Prof. Dr. Ken Nah, Korea * Doyoung Kim, CEO of Designsori, Korea * Song Kee Hong, Deputy Head, Industrial Design Division, National University of Singapore, Singapore - Adjudication criteria: functionality, quality, manufacturing, societal desire, ergonomics and product periphery.

Contest Process - 1st round - We will select SHAPL shortlisted designers on a specific date. - 2nd round - SHAPL shortlisted designers will get the opportunity to refine and resubmit their designs before the final judging takes place.
