Cue
Do you ever feel completely safe while travelling in cabs? I don't. Cue is inspired from a personal experience. My college, being in the outskirts of the city, caused long travel distances frequently. We (especially female students) had to plan our travel so we could be back in daylight or make sure we don't travel alone. Once, while returning late in the evening, our driver decided to not complete the trip and dropped us mid-way, in an isolated area. His driving was rash, he was over speeding and wouldn't acknowledge our requests. He seemed intoxicated, but since we had no proof, the company wouldn't register our complaint. This is when I realized the need for real-time updates on alcohol levels in the body. I came across surveys which strengthened the need for the same. After immense research and user insights, I came across the technology which could detect the Blood Alcohol Contents (BAC) through sweat. One of the parts which produces a lot of sweat in the human body is the palm, which while driving, produces sweat because on constant use of steering wheel. Cue is a smart ring which detects the BAC, temperature and Pulse rate and provides real time updates to the user as well as the company. The user gets a choice to ride with the driver and complete transparency about alcohol and temperature levels. Cue also has a GPS tracker built-in to ensure that the output cannot be tampered. If the location of the product is beyond a particular radius of the phone, the device will stop giving readings and notify the company. This will ensure safety, prevent accidents and sexual harassments.
