What if a portable fan could be used indoors?

LEAN's design began with the idea of 'What if a portable fan could be used indoors?' Two factors were considered important for this idea. The first is ease of use. With a round leather handle that is stretched to match the size of the hand, it provides a comfortable grip. The swing structure was applied to control the free angle. The product's name "LEAN" comes from the way fans lean when adjusting their angles. The second is to harmonize with the Surrounding Environment. LEAN has a minimal form that doesn't hurt its surroundings no matter which table it goes to. In order to serve as an interior object regardless of the season, fans were designed so that they could not be exposed to the outside, and the elements of the basic shape were emphasized. The product's target user is single-person households that do not have a large amount of living space. The fan, which was used for portable use from the outside, is plugged into the server after returning home and can be used as stand-alone at the same time as battery charging. Considering the situations of use in and out of the house, the interior and exterior experiences were designed to be seamless.

Proof of feasibility through prototyping

Prototypes were created using 3D printing. After several design modifications, the swing structure was implemented and fan parts were inserted to enable button operation and wind volume control. Finally, we were operated the prototype, for confirm its portability and appropriateness of wind strength.
