A drink with class deserves to be opened in a classic way, hence it is mechanical rather than electronic. My motivation : After looking at various existing corkscrews, I realized either some of them are not easy to use, or some cause the cork to break inside the bottle. Also after seeing the struggle and effort of waiters using thier traditional waiters corkscrew, I wanted to make something which is as portable and compact as their daily use corkscrew, but at the same time something that reduces their effort and increases their productivity. My process: I tried and tested a few corkscrews, looked at the electric models, and understood the pros and cons for each product. After which I did some quick form explorations, made 3d models of the same and after understanding which form works best ergonomically I made the final 3d model and took out some quick renders.
A corkscrew for the wine enthusiasts;light weight, easy to use, portable and compact.
